Determination of the antioxidant activity and phytoconstituents of the hydroalcoholic extract of the leaves of Annona reticulata L. "red custard apple"

La Annona reticulata L. conocida comúnmente como “chirimoya roja”, es una planta que actualmente presenta pocas investigaciones que corroboren sus propiedades medicinales, por lo anteriormente expuesto, el objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la actividad antioxidante y fitoconstituyentes del extracto hidroalcohólico de las hojas de Annona reticulata L. "chirimoya roja”. El extracto hidroalcohólico se obtuvo por maceración a partir de 100 g de material vegetal seco, además; se realizó el reconocimiento de metabolitos secundarios a través del tamizaje fitoquímico mediante reacción de colocación y precipitación. La actividad antioxidante fue evaluada mediante el ensayo del radical 2,2-difenil-1-picrilhidrazilo (DPPH). En los resultados, se encontró entre los fitoconstituyentes presentes en el extracto se destacó la presencia de compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides y alcaloides.Annona reticulata L., commonly known as "red custard apple", is a plant that currently presents few investigations that corroborate its medicinal properties, therefore, the objective of the research was to determine the antioxidant activity and phytoconstituents of the hydroalcoholic extract of the leaves of Annona reticulata L. "red custard apple". The hydroalcoholic extract was obtained by maceration from 100 g of dried plant material, in addition; the recognition of secondary metabolites was performed through phytochemical screening by collocation reaction and precipitation. Antioxidant activity was evaluated by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH) assay. The results showed the presence of phenolic compounds, flavonoids and alkaloids among the phytoconstituents present in the extract
